Eva van Kempen (November 30, 1976) is a goldsmith, jewellery designer based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
"In my metalwork I am interested in patterns and fluid shapes I find in nature and Art Nouveau, the interplay of asymmetrical shapes, sometimes even within symmetry, always capture my attention. I appreciate the traditional meaning of jewellery as well as jewellery worn as a statement."
Eva's jewellery line LifeLines is made out of safe hospital waste, such as intravenous lines that are not sterile or otherwise not suitable for patients. By adding precious materials such as pearls, diamonds and precious metals, she transforms these cold sterile materials into jewels to prove their beauty and value.
